Our journey
From a focused 2001 initiative to a digital competition ecosystem serving Malaysia.
2001
SSD was established in the Klang Valley with a disciplined mission: systematically uplift students through structured mathematical education — a long-term academic movement, not a one-off tuition initiative.
2005
A dedicated centre in Shah Alam strengthened structured access and credibility, marking the shift from a local initiative to an organised educational institution.
2010s
SSD deepened competition frameworks and school partnerships, building trust as a disciplined benchmarking platform for mathematical excellence.
Dec 2025
SRMC engaged 21,000 SJKT students across Selangor. State-level competition hosted at Universiti Selangor (UniSel) — a milestone in scale, governance, and institutional collaboration.
2026
A landmark year. Nationwide Great Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Competition (Primary, Standards 1–6) through School → District → State → National. National Grand Finale at University of Cyberjaya with 2,606 students; about 3,600 State and National medals presented in a single day. Launch of the digital competition ecosystem and SRMC Secondary for Forms 1–5.
2026 – A Landmark Year
In 2026, SSD achieved a major milestone with the successful nationwide implementation of the Great Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Competition (SRMC) for Primary School students, Standards 1–6 — progressing through School, District, State and National levels.
The journey culminated in a remarkable National Grand Finale, where 2,606 students from across the nation participated at the University of Cyberjaya. In a single day, approximately 3,600 State and National medals were presented.
Building on that success, 2026 also marked the launch of SSD's digital competition ecosystem — structured question banks, performance analytics, secure multi-level systems — and SRMC Secondary for Forms 1–5.
2026 stands as a defining chapter — transforming Mathematics from a competition into a nationwide celebration of young talent, achievement and excellence.
